Why Social Media is a Non-Negotiable Sales Tool

Why Social Media is a Non-Negotiable Sales Tool Is social media the sales tool of the century? Whether youre an employer selling your company as a desirable  workplace to potential employees, or  a mortgage broker selling your service to new home-buyers, a presence on social media is a must-have. We caught up with  social selling sorcerer Tim Hughes  to hear whats what right now on all things social selling. Have a listen to the episode  embedded below, subscribe to the podcast,  or keep reading for an abridged  transcript of our conversation. To hear more from Tim, check out the 5 Pillars of Social Selling. What do you do Tim? I dont like to use the word expert, but people quite often place that on me. Im an expert in social selling and social media. My book is available  on Amazon now;  Social Selling: Techniques to Influence Buyers and Changemakers. The book really is about how organisations, how salespeople, and how marketers can use social to sell, and use social, in effect, to generate leads and generate revenue. How do you use social networks purposefully to build trust and a high quality community? The fact that people are now using mobile more than anything else, and people are spending more time actually researching things.  People are spending more time actually researching the products, and theres far more products and apps, and the whole thing is getting far more complex. I dont want to sound ageist, but its that the research shows that if youre looking at people up to about the age of 40, those people, generally about 35% of them, rather than go to Google when they want to actually buy something and then go to a corporate website, people are actually going and connecting on to the social networks. Should  you create content to resonate with those people doing research? Yes. A lot of people come to me and say, Tim, you post some really interesting stuff. For me, thats a really flattering thing, because what I want to do is educate people. And thats what brands, salespeople and marketers should be doing. So if we think about the traditional sales funnel and the way that people have traditionally sold, is that youve probably already spoken to the people. Theres already a lead, there would have been a meeting, and you take that person through a process where, say, software, youll do demonstrations and reference visits, and its all defined and you follow that process. I think there should be a new term, whether its the marketing funnel, or what I actually call the relationship funnel, which is where the people that were trying to sell or market to probably dont know about this already. Or they may be in a position that its even above that, where they dont even know that theres not even a need for anything that we do.  What your role in the way that you can use social is to build a community and network with those individuals, so when they actually come out and buy, they actually come to you. How do you  scale a social selling strategy across an organisation? How do  you move from random acts of social to actually getting stakeholder buy in? What  happens quite often at that stage is that when organisations realise that theres this tsunami of social taking place, what they try and do is actually grab hold and try and control it. Its about practice, and how do organisations take this opportunity and drive it through the organisation? Were quite open and honest and say, You actually need particular individuals to help you do that. Because social selling is a strategy. Its a change program. And the only way that youre going to take it through the organisation and stop people going back to the old way is because none of us like change.  We always like going back to what we did before. The only way that you can do that and explain it, and train people, and get people to understand how to post and why you post this, and why not to post that, and to drive it, is to have a person who understands social, who has a business acumen to drive it through the organisation and take charge of that. Whats your take on employee advocacy? I read a report today that says that 70% of brands broadcast online. They dont actually engage with anybody. Certainly if I look at my LinkedIn stream, a lot of it is corporate stuff being put out by employees. Now, theres nothing wrong with that. If youre IBM, youve got 400,000 employees. You connect your corporate marketing to all of those 400,000 employees. Youve got an awful lot of share of voice and youre pumping out an awful lot of content. But social isnt about broadcast, and its not about pumping out content. Social is about engaging, and social is actually about building your own influence in your own community. Is  employee advocacy part of social selling, or vice versa? If I was rolling out a social selling program, I would be looking at employee advocacy as a second or third step in that process. Because ultimately what you want in the organisation is everybody the goal of all organisations should be stated that we want to move to being a social organisation. Thats social empowerment of every employee, whether theyre in sales, whether theyre in development, but doing it in the right way. Which networks  work best for social selling? The two that I always recommend to people, especially if theyre working in the B2B environment, are LinkedIn and Twitter. Brian Solis said that everybody is on LinkedIn, but the interesting people are on Twitter. If Im talking to salespeople or marketers, you need to be on Twitter, not just about because youre putting out information. Change makers will generally be on Twitter. They will definitely be on LinkedIn. But you can find individuals, theyre not C-level, but they will be on Twitter. You can find them in organisations and theyre kind of your link in to the way that you can sell into those organisations. For social selling on LinkedIn, would you say Sales Navigator  is  a must-have? If youre in sales, you basically got to take the professional addition. Its   £300 or so, a year? But if youre in sales, you kind of need that. Its great for, if youve got some accounts, actually finding those people and finding things about those accounts. I know that you can go to websites like Fiverr, and you get some people to actually you could go, give me a list of as a salesperson, you could say, Heres my target list of 20 accounts. Ill pay you £5, and you can go and research all the people in those accounts with these job titles. Any thoughts on  visual networks like Instagram or Snapchat? Because Im in social, I have to pretty much use every platform. Because I get asked opinions about it. I actually like the movement away from text to pictures and video. I think Instagram is all about photos. I love walking around. I walk around London, and I go, Well, Im going to take a photo with that and then put it on Instagram. The same with Snapchat. Its  a great, fun way of taking very small segment videos and putting those out. The thing about Snapchat that I havent really realised until I met up with Brian Fanzo a couple of weeks ago in Manchester. He was saying that the great thing about it is that you can have a one-to-one chat with a brand. Whereas on Twitter, generally if youre dealing with the brand, it goes out to everybody. Does Your Brand Match Your Potential Employers - Personal Branding Blog - Stand Out In Your Career

Does Your Brand Match Your Potential Employers - Personal Branding Blog - Stand Out In Your Career Everyone’s so busy trying to land a job â€" any job â€" that they’ve forgotten one of the cardinal rules in the hiring process: If you aren’t a fit with the company’s culture, it’s not going to work out in the end. While personal branding has been a career strategy for a while now, employer branding is just beginning to hit mainstream. And you should be paying attention. Quality over quantity I implore you, get off the job boards! Well, not completely, but don’t use them as a crutch in your job search. Create a plan. This plan should include identifying the top 10 organizations for which you would like to work in a particular city. (If you have the option to choose an additional city within which to work, your list would contain 20 organizations.) These days, it doesn’t help much to blast your résumé to every organization with open positions for which you might qualify. It’s all about networking, recommendations, and yes, branding. Quality, not quantity. Do your homework With these 10 (or 20) organizations, it doesn’t matter if their career page says they’re hiring. What matters is you respect their brand. You’ve researched them beyond their corporate Web site and found them to be organizations for which you would be proud to work. Become an avid reader of the news â€" and I don’t just mean the New York Times. As we all know, where news comes from is changing rapidly, so be sure to identify who is talking about your organizations and add their feeds to your Google Reader. Outline your position in writing Continually perform S.W.O.T. analyses (strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats) on each. How are their customers perceiving their brand? In what areas does their brand shine and in what areas has it lost its luster? When you feel comfortable putting forth a plan in which you can adequately help the organization achieve its goals, put your proposal in writing and set up a meeting. (It’s important to note you need to be networking with key decision makers well before putting your plan in front of them.) Companies today want employees who bring results. Focus on how your brand can improve theirs. What happens if your brands do not align? It’s often said your job search is a marathon, not a sprint. Think long-term, not short-term! Sure, you’d likely be able to get along just fine in the short-term if you didn’t see eye-to-eye with the organization and its values. But what about the long-term? You’ll likely leave in a relatively short period of time, and this is a bad thing. First, you’ll obviously be hunting for a job again, and no one likes doing that more often than necessary! Second, you’ll likely be experiencing a bit of burnout â€" perhaps even doubting your career choice altogether. Finally, you’ll be seen as a job hopper on your résumé by future hiring managers. The organization man of the new millennium

The organization man of the new millennium Recently I read about a company which has three full-timers whose only job is to make employee life fun. They plan outings, parties, raffles, all reportedly in an effort to stave off headhunters and to keep engineers working 12- 15 hours days. Here is a little note to the hundreds of employees at this company: HELLO OUT THERE? Are you people morons? Why are you at a company that consumes all your free time with work and then, as a bonus, sucks up the only hours you have left to sleep and shower? This is not an office with perks. This is serfdom. This is paternalism. This is the organization man of the new millennium. If youre at a company like this one, you need to get a life. The only people who are willing to work at this kind of place have no life outside of work. If you have friends who are not at the company, they are probably no longer your friends. If you have a family and you work at a company like this, you will get what you deserve: Kids who have no relationship with you. And do not, I repeat, do not tell me that you have to work at a place like this because of the incredible projects you get to work on. People who are truly talented do not have to suffer draconian hours and insulting perks in order to get on good projects. In fact, you can bet that the people who are amazing at their job, are smart enough to live a life outside of their job. So check this out: You are surrounded by sub-par workers when you work at a place that does not respect employees personal lives because only sub-par workers put up with that. Heres another thing some of you will tell me: You have to pay dues in your profession. But you know what? Thats an excuse you use for having someone else take care of your career path. Sure, you can play the law firm or consulting firm game, and put in huge number of hours just because the rule is that you put in huge number of hours to get to the next level. But you dont need to do that. You can make your own path, which is not so far fetched if you are good at what you do. You can freelance, you can work at a small firm, you can intern for someone who will mentor you, or you can become an entrepreneur. The demographic starting businesses at the fastest rate is 18-34. Now you know why. My brother, Erik, is at an investment banking firm at the grunt level. He has been working twenty-hour days without anyone batting an eye. When he looks above himself in the ranks, it doesnt seem to get better. People dont have a lot of control over their workloads, or the timing of their work, and people dont seem particularly happy. So hes leaving the bank for a smaller firm where people have lives. And this is why: Because the smartest people in the world are in a position where they have control over their work and room to grow a personal life. Its a fact. You might say, But they paid their dues. To this I say, Who cares? Its a new world out there, and theres no reason for you to have to pay dues just because the generations before you were not creative or independent enough when they thought about their careers. And wait. Everyone who is about to send mail to me about how young people need to learn to work hard think about this: There are many ways to work hard. Thinking rigorously, and putting ones heart into a job are different than working long hours. In fact, Id say of those three ways to work hard, long hours is the biggest cop-out. So work with your heart and your mind, and make sure you have time to use both of those in your personal life, too.

Burnout Recovery Stories of Hope - VocationVillage

Burnout Recovery Stories of Hope - VocationVillage In the past few years, organizations have reduced staff and increased performance expectations for the remaining employees. Many people seem over-worked, underappreciated, exhausted, and burned out. Given the current work climate, I wondered to a colleague if burnout recovery is truly possible, and she expressed doubt. I decided to find and interview people who have either recovered from burnout or have significant expertise in treating it. Because helping professionals are one of the groups hardest hit by job burnout, I interviewed two physicians, a psychologist, and a social worker turned life coach. Here are the interviews:Interview: Randall S. Bock, M.D., Revere, MA Dr. Bock, what type of work do you do?I have a medical practice with a large component being narcotic-detoxification. I see a large number of addicts whose success rates are not enormous. I run my own medical practice, do the billing, hire staff, see all patients, and deal with whatever consequences occur. I take all of my own night calls, and off-hours I try to keep my family at home intact and happy.Wow. That sounds like a lot. How long have you been in this career?28 years. You sound well-qualified to talk about how to prevent or recover from job burnout. What advice do you have for my readers? You need a strong Foundation and your Foundation is strengthened by five Fs: Fun, Family, Faith, Friends, and Fur (pets). These Fs will help you withstand vagaries in a medical practice.Under the Fun category, I include a lot of athletic activity, but that doesnt have to be the case for everybody. Personally I find competitive-level sports hugely diverting, because the focus is so intense when you are engaged in intense physical activity, you have to leave everything else behind in order to do well at it.Thats terrific advice. Anything else to add?Yes, make the most of technology.  For instance, I use Dragon dictation, which helps cut down on information-transfer time. Any time you can automate a process and use technology to cut down on the more stultifying aspects of work, consider doing it.Also, try to make sure you have enough time to appreciate the blossoms, the flowers, meaning the medical cases, the people that come in. Hear their stories, even when you think you dont have the time. It will make the time you have shine.Thank you, Dr. Bock. I appreciate your insights. ..Interview: Tina B. Tessina, Ph.D., L.M.F.T., Long Beach, CADr. Tessina, please tell us about your work.Im a licensed psychotherapist in Southern California, with 30 years experience in counseling individuals and couples. I am also the author of 13 books in 16 languages, including Money, Sex and Kids: Stop Fighting About the Three Things That Can Ruin Your Marriage, The Unofficial Guide to Dating Again, and The Commuter Marriage: Keep Your Relationship Close While Youre Far Apart. In over 35 years of providing counseling, I have not experienced burnout, but many of my colleagues have, and I have worked with many of them to resolve the problem. What do you recommend to prevent and/or treat job burnout? Its necessary to take extremely good care of yourself as the therapist. Here are some specific things to address:Make sure you are effective with clients. Clients who get better are very motivating. Its more important to help clients heal old trauma then to adhere to a theoretical base.Wo rk from your heart trust yourself and your intuition. If you guess wrong, just accept it and go on. In the end, you have to do therapy your own way. Theories and studies are helpful, but not if they hamper your own style.Identify your preferences, then do your best to maximize what you like and minimize what you dont like. If you dont like paperwork, get computer programs or secretarial help. If you dont like working with depression, either dont see those clients, or get more training so youll know how to handle it. If you like working with women, children, couples, etc., focus on that in your practice building.Have a support team of colleagues with whom you can share your therapy experiences as peers.Learn to set solid boundaries. Learn how to say no to intrusive clients, how to keep them in appropriate parts of your life, and not let them take over your free time.Limit your hours to what works for you. Design your own style of working, and make sure your place of work is comforta ble to you.Trust that you will get the right clients for your style. Be clear what your own style is, and dont worry if it doesnt work for some clients refer them to someone else. Different clients need different therapy styles.Learn from therapists you respect and admire, with whom you feel comfortable. If you dont respect a theory or practice style, dont use it. If you can modify a theory or practice style to suit you, do it.Do your own work. Its impossible to be effective as a therapist if you havent been in the clients chair. You need to delve deeply into your own subconscious, so that youll understand your weaknesses and your strengths, and wont be blindsided by dark side issues when they are triggered.Thats an excellent list. Thank you, Dr. Tessina. You may read more about Dr. Tessina at TinaTessina.com. ..Interview: Demian Obregon, M.D., Tampa, FL Hello, Dr. Obregon. Please tell us about your work.I am a resident physician in psychiatry at the University of South Florida in Tampa, FL. Regarding my career so far, I have been a researcher in Alzheimer’s disease since early 2000. In 2003, I entered medical school, finally graduating in 2008. Since that time I have been a resident in psychiatry and a research fellow continuing my research in Alzheimer’s disease and related disorders.I was a medical student at Tulane University when Hurricane Katrina hit New Orleans. At the time I was a M.D./Ph.D. student at Tulane University. All of my samples, reagents, and files were lost. In addition, Tulane administration laid off my research sponsor. I can remember a particularly hard period from December of 2005 through early February of 2006 where I experienced emotional exhaustion and overwhelm. It was a mixture of bereavement because I thought my career had been washed away with Katrinas storm waters and dread about having to rebuild everything I had worked so very hard to achieve.Every day became a struggle to pull myself out of bed. At times I was short with my coworkers, even yelling at my boss for insignificant mistakes. The recovery part took a good four months or more. What did you do to recover?I really focused on self care, especially behavioral aspects of stress management. I became diligent again about going to the gym. I needed more time for rest and recovery so I became extremely organized to free up the time I needed. I started talking more to my friends and family about my problems and they offered comfort and some good ideas for dealing with the tremendous workload and emotional burden. I moved and started a new career at University of South Florida in Tampa. Besides modifying my behavior and seeking counseling from good people around me, I started setting good limits and saying, “No” a little more often. I also asked people to help me when I needed help. These are some of the hardest lessons to learn when we just want to buckle down and take care of business without burdening anyone else. However, what we need to do when we are going through burnout is exactly the opposite. Here is where you have to do the very first step of self evaluation. You have to stop and ask yourself, Whats going on? What is causing burnout?Next you have to organize and prioritize. This becomes the framework for “the real treatment,” which is to change your workload; work being either personal or professional. Based on your list of priorities you will need to carve the fat out of your energy budget by setting limits and living within your means financially, physically, and mentally. Knowing your limits is important when you are suffering from burnout. Now that you carved out a little time and energy you need to put that to good use. Use the time for stress relief. Whether it is deep breathing, sequential muscle relaxation, positive visualization, spending time with friends and family, talking to a friend, going for a walk, running four miles, weight training, listening to soothing music, or having a massage, these become your essential “preventative and supportive care” for your body’s recovery from burnout.Sometimes none of this works. This is when you should get professional counseling and/or medical care. Licensed mental health counselors, psychologists, and psychiatrists are some of the helping professionals who specialize in treating and preventing burnout.Dr. Obregon, it is a rather dramatic experience to have your lifes work be washed away in a hurricane. Thank you for sharing your story and for wisdom about how to recover from burnout. ..Interview: Tonia Boterf, L.S.W., H.H.P., C.L.C., Augusta, MEHello, Ms. Boterf. Please tell us about your work.I have been a Licensed Social Worker for 20 years. I am also now a Certified Life Coach and Certified Holistic Health Practitioner. Please tell us about your experience with job burnout.I had a nervous breakdown in 2002. I took time off to recover and to fight the system about what some coworkers had done to me. I won, and I tried to go back to a lower paying and former job. I started back part-time and moved up to full-time and then after a couple of months, it was obvious I couldnt do the paperwork part of things any more. So I was put on disability status.I then spent several years trying to claw my way out of a very deep and dark pit. Once out, I realized that though I functioned, I was not the same as pre-2002. Some of me works fine but inconsistently and requires a great deal of accommodation and adaption. Some of me works now and again, some works in a twisted way and some doesnt work at all anymore. When I first had a brain again, I wanted to figure out how to get healthier, so I did an online nutritional consultant course. Low and behold, I liked it and did it well. So, vocationally I used to be a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor and then found myself on the other side of the table as a client it was agreed I could never go work in a typical work environment again (Im consistent at being inconsistent) and remain healthy. So I decided to work from home in my own business and I went to online school for Holistic Health Practitioner. I use natural health a great deal, personally, to keep functioning without using a lot of prescription drugs that would interfere with my current level of functioning. However, the recession started and H.H.P. couldnt be afforded by many clients. So I completed online Life Coaching school after all, coaching is just like what I had been doing for over 25 yrs.As a result, I started two online businesses, one helpi ng families with aging parents and one helping new coaches with starting their businesses. How is it going for you?I am growing both businesses. Working from home allows me to have the flexibility I need and to make the adaptations and accommodations that have allowed me to function so far. Time will tell how much I can handle client wise (more than what I do now) and also do the necessary business activities. So, ya, I was and am a social service professional that got knocked around. I dont think of it as gradual burnout like I saw some peers go through but rather, I unexpectedly crashed due to a perfect storm of events that could happen to anyone. I was always known for my self-confidence and my strength and no one thought something like this could happen to me.For me, the journey has been one of incredible pain, of losing your life and identity in so many ways while struggling to create a new life. It means learning again who you are and how you are different now and how to live wi th it. Others treat you differently. What advice do you have for others going through a similar challenge? You have to find and accept the broken parts of yourself, learn every darn coping skill and adapt/accommodate so you have enough energy to handle the unexpected things life throws at you. It means trying to find out what kind of life you can create and what and where work will play a role in it.Accept help. I would never have made it out of the pit and be able to function as I do, if it hadnt been for my boyfriend at the time of the crash. Even when I wasnt functioning, he married me. My husband is my soul mate, my rock and why I have the quality of life I have. Yes, Im a fighter and I had to find the strength within me to come back but I KNOW that without my husband, it wouldnt have happened. I thank God for him every day.Thank you so much, Ms. Boterf, for your bravery and candor in relating your experience. I know that other people will benefit from it.

10 Unique Ways to Get Inspiration for Your Next Post CareerMetis.com

10 Unique Ways to Get Inspiration for Your Next Post â€" CareerMetis.com Photo Credit â€" Pexels.comInspiration is one of those things you really wish someone would bottle up and sell, because you would buy ten cases of it. Unfortunately, it’s not something tangible that we can summon at a moment’s notice. As bloggers, though, we all know that feeling when you can’t come up with a new idea. It’s frustrating, and it holds you back from where you want to be.That’s why today’s post is all about finding the illusive inspiration you’re looking for. Let’s take a look at ten ways to put your creativity into overdrive and build healthy habits for your blogging.1. Take a Step BackevalevalTrying to force creativity is a lot like trying to lift more weight than you know you can handle. In other words, you’re bound to pull something. Creativity comes to you, but only if you’re open to receive it. Trying to brute force ideas will only make you tired and stressed out. This is why it’s important to find those moments where you can take a step back, b reathe, and focus on something else for a moment. Your subconscious will continue to work the problem and you’ll have the opportunity to reset. It’s for this reason that I like to follow the Pomodoro Method during my work days.If you give yourself moments to rest and reset for just a few minutes, you’ll find that creativity and inspiration comes a lot easier.2. Stick to What You KnowVenturing into unknown territory is always a good idea for growth and expanding your knowledge, but it’s rarely a way to find inspiration. The reason of course being that you don’t have familiarity with this new subject or topic.Instead, stay within your niche and your knowledge base while looking for new ideas. Playing within the boundaries of your expertise will give you a home field advantage as you’re trying to create new ideas.3. Keep a List HandyThere are plenty of places out there where you can find examples of blog post ideas. Lists like these are a great resource when you need a litt le creative push in the right direction. I recommend keeping them bookmarked so you can refer to them when you need something to work with.4. Focus on Questions AnswersThe best way to get some ideas moving, is to think about your blog post in terms of questions and answers. Check your blog comments, your social media profiles, anywhere you engage with your audience. What questions do they have? What problems are they trying to solve through your content?evalIf you can find the questions, your posts will be the answers. That’s a great way to find inspiration for useful content.5. Keep a Notebook HandyevalCreativity and inspiration doesn’t work on anyone’s schedule, least of all your own. You may get ideas while brushing your teeth, taking a walk, or shopping at the grocery store. If you prefer a digital notebook, that’s fine, but I like having something physical to write ideas on.Keep it handy, so when ideas hit you, you can write them down and keep them handy for later.6. S et up Google AlertsThis free and handy tool allows you to input keywords and create alerts for yourself. Whenever these terms appear in mainstream news and media, or on blogs, you’ll be notified via email. You can set up a Google Alert in just a few minutes.7. Invite a Guest AuthorevalSometimes you just need some time away to recharge your batteries. It happens to all of us, so why not give other bloggers the chance to enjoy the spotlight? Set up a page on your blog for guest post authors and give them the basic guidelines you’d like from their posts. This way, people can send you pitches for posts that they will write. You only need to publish them, or give them the option to create a guest account and do it themselves. You get great content, and who knows, one of their ideas could spur another post you’ll do yourself.8. Talk About MistakesIt’s not easy to admit our mistakes, but they make for great blog posts. Not to mention, we should be helping our fellow bloggers avoid t he same mistakes we’ve made in the past. Think about a time you really wished you had known something about blogging or your niche. Write a post about it.That way, next time someone finds themselves in that type of situation, hopefully they’ll have the tools they need to avoid that same mistake.9. Try a Topic GeneratorThese can be hit or miss, but if all else fails and you need something to go off of, you can try a blog topic generator. Here are some of the better options:Hubspot’s Blog Topic GeneratorCoSchedule Headline AnalyzerInbound Now Blog Title Generator10. Build a SkyscraperThat’s right. Quit your job as a blogger and go become an architect. I’m kidding. What I’m actually referring to here is the Skyscraper Technique from Backlinko’s Brian Dean. This tactic has long been an inspiration for me.It involves seeking out content that is doing well, and then building something bigger and better. It’s about being the tallest skyscraper on the block. It’s so simple , yet so effective. It can be a great way to find inspiration for your next successful post.FINAL THOUGHTSInspiration is something you can’t chase or catch. It has to come to you, but with these tactics, you can entice it to come and stay a while. How do you find inspiration? Let us know in the comments!

Weve all seen safety posters in our workplaces, but for the most part, we pay little attention to them. Most of us associate work-related injuries with jobs in construction, manufacturing or other very physical careers. However, on-the-job injuries can happen even in low-risk professions. And, when they do, its important to remember that accident at work compensation may be available. Preventing Accidents in the Workplace Claim Process So, how does the claim process work? This is a question frequently asked but never answered and therefore people feel like they are embarking on an unknown journey and this often deters them from doing so. The truth is that every case is of course different. However, you can get a general idea. You will need to gather as much information as you can. Write down a report if it makes it easier. Take pictures of your injuries. The solicitors you employ will then gather evidence regarding witnesses and what they saw. Once the necessary evidence has been gathered the solicitor will write a letter of claim to the person they and you believe to be liable for the accident you have experienced. From then on it all depends on how quickly and how easy the defendant is to resolve the issue with. Hopefully, the defendant will be willing to settle the case out of court in a swift manner because they will not want to damage their businesss reputation. However, if things get tricky then it will be taken to the courtroom and decided there. You must acknowledge how pivotal it is that you have to act quickly. You cant dwell on whether to seek compensation for months and months. There is a time limit on every work accident compensation claim that is filed. Most of the time, you will be required to have everything settled and gone through the court process within three years. However, it is recommended you dont leave it this long. Try to get things wrapped up as quickly as you can, this doesnt mean you should rush though be thorough and get everything right so you have no regrets. No Guarantees The last thing you need to recognise is that there are no guarantees. There is no certainty that you will win your claim. However, a good solicitor will tell you how good your chances are. This is why most people tend to go down the no win no fee route because they ensure they do not lose out no matter what the verdict is. A lot of people worry they will lose their job if they make a claim. However, you will be able to launch employment tribunal claims if this happens, as you will have grounds for unfair dismissal. Hopefully, this article will have answered all of the questions you have regarding work accident compensation. Most of the time, it is all of the simple questions that prove to be difficult to find the answers to. After all, companies do not want to give away too much information because they want to entice you so that you use them. What's next? Ready to take action?
